A good annual check-up is not a shopping list of every test that exists. Over-testing finds things that were never going to cause harm and starts a chain of worry and follow-up.
What is worth doing is tailored to you: your age, your family history, your numbers last time. A useful check-up spends less time on the machine and more time on the conversation — what has changed, what is worrying you, and what one or two changes would move the needle most.
